Local student, Liam Connor Davies, 18, has been recognised as a Holts ‘Rising Star’ for his outstanding performance on the IMIAL Level 2 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance at The College Merthyr Tydfil.
Liam received this accolade for going that extra mile. His college tutor, Neil Clancy, was extremely impressed with the hard work and determination he displayed during both practical and theoretical modules of the course.
Neil Clancy commented: “Liam is the perfect example of a truly outstanding student. He is an absolute joy to teach and his passion for cars is infectious. The fact that Liam was chosen to receive a Holts Rising Stars award really goes to show that hard work and an enthusiastic approach pays off.”
Claire Fenton, Brand Manager at Holts, added: “We introduced the Holts Rising Stars awards to acknowledge the dedication and commitment of some of Britain’s most talented emerging mechanics. We are delighted that Liam was chosen as the Welsh Rising Star and wish him a very long and successful career!”
The inaugural Holts Rising Stars awards aim to recognise and inspire the next generation of British automotive talent. Four winners were chosen from 40 leading mechanic training colleges across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Each Rising Star was presented with a starter mechanic toolkit to help them on their way in the industry, as well as a custom designed Holts overall, certificate and Holts products.
