Inspire 2 Achieve

About the Project

The College Merthyr Tydfil is pleased to be actively involved as a regional partner in the Inspire 2 Achieve (I2A) operation for West Wales and the Valleys, which is approved and operating under the European Structural Fund Operational Programme entitled West Wales and the Valleys  Programme ESF  2014-2020. Funding has been secured to run the operation until the end of January 2019.

The aim of I2A is to reduce the number of those most at risk of becoming NEET (Not in employment, education or training), amongst 11-24 year olds.   It is designed specifically to identify and address the needs of those most at risk of disengagement and to support them to reintegrate into mainstream education or alternatives.

Those who meet the eligibility criteria will be able to access support from the I2A operation.

Our Aims:

  • Reduce the number of learners who become NEET
  • To provide a ‘listening ear’
  • To provide tailored guidance and support for eligible learners to achieve their potential
  • To link with school support networks to ease the learners’ transition between school and college
  • To offer continuous support throughout college holidays
  • To liaise with other partner agencies who may provide additional support

What we can help with:

  • Emotional support
  • Family Relationships
  • Learning & Education
  • Mental Wellbeing
  • Physical Health
  • Finance
  • Social Issues

Who can refer?

  • Family members / guardians of the learner
