COURSE DESCRIPTION This qualification includes the knowledge and skills component (VRQ) of the IMI SSC maintenance and repair apprenticeship framework (for light vehicle). When a candidate has achieved a level 2 qualification, they can then choose to broaden their education and training in other ways from this firm base. It is a learning programme which involves students studying both the theory and practical aspects of the following:

ENTRY: Three GCSEs at C or above preferably in Mathematics, English and Science
PROGRESSION: For some learners this qualification could prepare them for progression to further learning and training. For others, this qualification could also provide a useful recognition of their practical skills and knowledge, to aid their career opportunities.
