College Merthyr Tydfil student accepted onto three week Law Programme at prestigious Penn (University of Pennsylvania).

Giorgio Baglioni, an AS level student at the College Merthyr Tydfil has been successful in gaining a place on a three week Law Programme at the prestigious Penn University. Giorgio, whose mother and grandfather both attended the university, applied for the programme after spotting the advertisement in a Penn alumni publication.

Giorgio, who is studying AS computing, history, mathematics and electronics, is looking forward to the three week programme which aims to prepare students for careers in all aspects of international and comparative law. The programme will take place during the summer holidays 2014.  

“It is a great honour to have been chosen. I hope to gain valuable skills that I will be able to use throughout my future endeavours. It's a fantastic opportunity and I am grateful for the support from the college; especially Dawn Price, Head of Law and Welsh Baccalaureate”. Giorgio Baglioni.
