Course Description This diploma is a vocationally related qualification (VRQ) which has been developed to meet the demand from industry and ensures that the candidate has the practical as well as theoretical knowledge of engineering.
This qualification can be further developed to qualify as a technical certificate, used in the modern apprenticeship framework.
COURSE STRUCTURE To achieve the diploma in engineering and technology the candidate is required to complete two common mandatory units, in addition to one mandatory pathway unit and the required number of optional units from their chosen pathway.
Pathways include: electrical/electronic, fabrication and welding, maintenance and mechanical.
