Aaron joined the General Dynamics Apprenticeship scheme after completing his BTEC Level 3 Engineering at the college. Aaron progressed to the college from Afon Taf High School.
Aaron, who has always had a keen interest in Engineering, feels that the apprenticeship has provided an excellent opportunity for him to combine study with employment in a field that he enjoys. Aaron stated “I was so happy to gain a place on the apprenticeship programme. It’s a fantastic opportunity to develop my skills in engineering whilst also working for an excellent company. The fact that I’m able to stay local is also an extra added bonus.”
Tutor Jonathan Cahill commented “Aaron is an active member of the tutor group. He shows a keen interest in all aspects of engineering and the wider aspects associated with it. He is clearly progressing well in all areas of the course and this is evident in discussion with his tutors. Aaron has very good verbal communication skills and is confident in expressing his points during discussions. Aaron has excellent attendance and punctuality and a very positive approach to his work. He has set himself realistic targets in terms of literacy and numeracy and is making very good progress in these areas.”
