The college provision includes health care units specifically chosen for those who want to progress onto careers such as:
The Units covered place a strong emphasis on the core skills that will encourage independent working and develop the skills necessary to progress onto degree level.
The course covers units of study in Anatomy, Physiology and Health care; Sociology, Psychology; Study Skills / Research Skills and Numeracy. This is a demanding course so motivation is a very important requirement to succeed. You must be prepared to allocate time for private study, throughout the course, on top of your time in college.
All prospective students are interviewed and assessed prior to being offered a place and it is desirable that you have recent work experience within Health Care.
Applicants need to be aware that they will be subject to an enhanced criminal records bureau enquiry upon application to university.
