Level: 2

Duration:1 year Full Time or Part Time option subject to requirements

Entry Requirements:
Two GCSEs grade C or above or level 1 course with distinction. Applicants are selected by interview and college assessment process. Adult returners may be accepted without formal qualifications pending interview and assessment.

Course Description:
This course is suitable for students wishing to study childcare and a progression route on to level 3 courses within the college. This qualification is nationally recognised and allows students to work in a professional capacity with supervision as crèche assistants, aupairs, nursery assistants or teachers’ aid with LEA schools.

What you will Study:
You will study a variety of units including development, professional skills, healthy environments and play. You will also participate in professional practice in a variety of settings in order to apply what you have learnt in a practical environment.

On Completion/ Career Paths:
This qualification allows progression on to level 3 courses within the college. It allows students to work in a professional capacity.
