Entry Requirements:
No formal entry requirements at level 1. For levels 2 and 3: Candidates must have achieved the previous level or must be in full-time employment at that level. For levels 1 and 2 – If the candidate is not in full-time employment in an administrative role then they must be prepared to undertake one day per week work experience for the duration of the course. For level 3 – Candidates must be employed in a supervisory role, as work experience can not be organised at this level of study.

Course Description:
This course is for candidates who wish to gain an administration qualification but cannot study full-time. The syllabus covers the underpinning knowledge required to cover the course specifications and helps develop skills for working within an office environment.
A minimum of three key skills – communication, application of number and information technology – will also be provided, giving students an excellent opportunity to study these essential qualifications.

What you will Study:
Level 2 – 2 Mandatory Units plus 2 optional units of your choice
Level 3 – 2 Mandatory Units plus 4 optional units of your choice.
These units will be continually assessed throughout the year through production of work products, observations, witness testimonies etc.

On Completion/ Career Paths:
Each assessor’s work is checked and confirmed by an internal verifier who is usually a member of staff at the assessment centre. The internal verifier checks and standardises assessment decisions made by the assessors in the centre. The external verifier checks the assessment and internal verification decisions and processes made in the centre and authorises the claims for certificates. The external verifier is appointed by OCR. Candidates are able to then progress on to the next level of study or gain employment status within an administration role.
