Course Description:
The course is delivered via different pathways, therefore allowing the course to be structured to meet individuals’ needs. All pathways place a strong emphasis on the core skills that encourage students to work independently and to develop the study skills that will enable them to study at degree level.
What you will Study:
Access to Humanities
This course offers study in History, Literature, Sociology and Psychology. Communication skills and application of number are also taught as a preparation for study at University. This award can also lead directly to employment or to the Diploma in Social Work.
On Completion/ Career Paths:
Successful completion of this course provides students with the opportunity to progress onto Social Work, Psychology, Literature, History and other humanities university degree programme. A high percentage of past students have progressed onto Higher Education. Last year (2008 – 2009) 92% of students obtained a university place.
